Showdown: Curious George v. Hitchens

Be sure to tune in on Thursday. I plan to have a very interesting blog entry. Seems I'll be attending a debate at Baruch College on the Iraq war between communist Friend of Saddam George Galloway and socialist-cum-neocon scotch swiller, Christopher Hitchens.

It should be an interesting evening and while I doubt much will get resolved, I expect some serious fireworks. Galloway, as you can see in the picture, had a rather cozy relationship with the Baathists. Hitchens, on the other hand, developed rather emotional and significant relationships with groups oppressed by Saddam (the Marsh Arabs and Kurds) during the inter-war years. You get a sense of Hitchens' feelings about Gorgeous George in the link embedded in this post. With that kind of personal animosity as backdrop, this should be fun. I'll report back on all the festivities on Thursday.
