Idiocy alert!
WARNING: Reading this story may make you stupid!
For some Europeans, George Lucas' latest "Star Wars" film is invoking comparisons to today's political climate. Audiences viewing "Episode Three -- Revenge of the Sith" at the Cannes Film Festival are comparing the story of Anakin Skywalker's fall to the dark side and the rise of an emperor through warmongering to President Bush's war on terrorism and the invasion of Iraq.
Love to see Sim dissect this with a dose of wit and Euro-understanding.
"What we're dealing with," indeed! No need to fear drowning in the pools-of-thought at Cannes.

Actually, I've seen it reported and discussed on American media outlets, as well. And from what I gather (having not seen any of the series since Empire Strikes Back), there is some reason to suspect that some of the dialogue and plot dynamics match with our current circumstances.
That said, if anything it's a marketing ploy which has been seen to be effective in the LOTR and Matrix franchises.
Have at it. LOL
