Loud and Proud!
Phoenix has won the title of "Sweatiest City in America," for the second time. What an honor...
Phoenix has won the dubious title of "Sweatiest City in America," according to the good folks at Old Spice. This is the second time the city topped the deodorant company's list; it also owned the moniker in 2003.
The company made its determination by taking the average height and weight of U.S. men and women and comparing it with average temperatures last June, July and August. The sweat level was analyzed using an assumption that the individual was walking outside for an hour. Last summer, the average temperature was 104.8 degrees, enough to allow Phoenix to snag back the title from last year's winner, El Paso.
The only one likely to benefit from the survey is Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon, who will receive a year's supply of Old Spice Red Zone antiperspirant.
