Obligatory Sports Post

(Or, yet another reason to hate Fantasy Baseball)

A's closer Octavio Dotel is going to have reconstructive surgery on his ailing elbow. Early odds are that he will not only miss the rest of this season but potentially all of next:

Dotel will be sidelined at least a year and possibly up to two years. That is a major concern for him because his contract is up after this season.

"What is the big deal," you ask? Yeah well, he was my #2 closer in not just one but both of my leagues. When you draft 10th in a 10-team league, you take what you can find and he slipped to me in both. A reasonable gamble on what should have been a decent team.

The reality of it all? He's already been cut in one league when he went on the DL and he'll be dropped like the proverbial hot-rock in the other today. Does it get any better than this!?

I love this game!
