Galloway: In his own words
Here's something to nibble on. Apparently in preparation for their big debate over Iraq on Wednesday, Christopher Hitchens has compiled a series of quotes from George Galloway. The most troubling are those which show an unhealthy fealty for Saddam. Like ones that take it into "manfriend" territory. But then there's the humorous ones like this to just to get you in the spirit:
...Yes, I did support the Soviet Union and I think the disappearance of the Soviet Union is the greatest catastrophe of my life...If there was a Soviet Union today we would not be having this conversation about plunging into a new war in the Middle East, and the US would not be rampaging the globe. (The Guardian, 9.06.02)
Tasty. Love this guy.
