Cabals and un-elections

Alan in Mesa responds to a letter over the weekend about Justice O'Connor's resignation. He sucks you in by making some actual sense. Without hinting at the absurd core of his political thinking he gets you believing that, even if it's one you might disagree with, his conclusion will be reasonable and intelligent. Then the hammer falls:

Justice O'Connor may very well be the brilliant, trailblazing icon that inspires women to be all they can be, but I suspect her enduring legacy will be that she was part of the judicial cabal that put an unelected president in office.

I am here, and I am here; I am beside myself at the ridiculousness that passes for critical thought with some people. Delusional...
