Happy 4th of July from The BK!

I encourage you all to get out in the sun, spark up the BBQ, toss a ball or a frisbee around, drink plenty of refreshing beverages and catch the fireworks. But amidst all of the hoopla, please take a moment to remember what we are celebrating and thank those who make it all possible.

UPDATE: My attorney has just recommended that to avoid a slew of lawsuits, I should be clear that the Simian Logician does not recommend literally catching fireworks. Rather, he meant "watch the fireworks at a safe distance and if you're going to be doing your own fireworks show, please observe the pyrotechnic regulations in your area and have a sober parent or guardian around. Similarly, wear plenty of sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat. Please grill only in designated areas and be sure to use water and stir your coals when you are done. It is a good idea for anyone engaging in athletic endeavors to warm up, stretch and wear a helmet. And finally, drink responsibly and appoint a designated driver." That's America. Have a great day.
